Happy Easter!

Enjoy this beautiful day and spend some quality time with the ones you love!

Ready for a party! Froggy is!  Here is the 18" centerpiece I created for my sister. She loves color, and this is definitely colorful! I think he will make her HOPPY! It would be easy enough to just add a jar of candy in the middle or a glass cylinder for a candle. Since the deco mesh is so weather  friendly, he could even spend the spring and summer on the deck.
I love doing table centerpieces, they are always fun and quick!

Celebrate You...Very successful event on Saturday!

Below are pictures of my basic wreath class held during the Celebrate You event. All participants signed up in advance and had the opportunity to create their own  happy spring themed wreath!

I wish I could have gotten a picture of them all completed !
Such a good time and everyone completed their wreath with much success.

Well I have the car all loaded and ready to set up a display of my wreath creations at an event  happening locally tomorrow. I am very excited as this will be my first attempt to teach a basic deco mesh wreath making class to a small group of ladies attending the event. I am also giving a class on glass etching! Wish me luck...   This could be a good thing... Hoping everyone leaves  with a wreath they will be proud to display!

Happy Spring!

Boy what a long winter! and I don't think we have seen the last of it yet... had a little snow yet this morning. Between the weather keeping me in and  bouts with bugs (virus kind lol)  3 times and counting... I have managed to keep the Cricuts and Silhouette motors running.
My latest adventure is with the NEW CRICUT EXPLORE!  Made this CUTE bunny (he opens up like a cookie jar...TOOO CUTE!)
 Want to know how?
If you have the Cricut Explore machine, you already know that you can now import SVG files from outside sources and cut them using the new Cricut Design Space program that is a FREE download.
I found this adorable file at svgcuts.com   The file includes several very cute spring projects... the egg treat box is also part of the file! They are ready to download... not too expensive and you have them forever! I intend to create everyone of them!
Once you have the file downloaded... it is a matter of unzipping the file,  choosing the project, importing into the program... once saved to Cricut Design Space...You bring the file to the mat, EDIT all the pieces to the sizes that SVG Cuts recommends on their printable  pages of instructions.
Then the Cricut does the rest... you just load the paper and press go. If you want to see a video of how to construct the projects  go to svgcuts.com and check it out before you purchase the files, they are Excellent at providing a video of completing the projects they design!
If you have a Silhouette Cameo... not to worry it is possible for you to create this also!

A new little monkey is on his way!

Just meshin' around again! Got that baby shower coming up and a centerpiece was needed!  Here it is... Lime green deco mesh and a couple fun blue patterned ribbons make the wreath/centerpiece. Then I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the same monkey used on the invitation, only a smidge larger. The image for the monkey came from the Silhouette online store, where you can purchase the file and then use it in the cutting program. So much fun...  and after the shower, mommy can hang the wreath in her home... or  even on the hospital door to announce her little monkey's arrival!

Simply Sent!

Love this Simply Sent card kit!
I have been wanting to make this card since the 2014 catalog came out! The stamp set, Million & One #126377 and the card kit, Simply Fabulous, #126925 can be found
in the 2014 catalog on pg.161.
The kit comes with the intricate laser- cut card layer, envelopes and trims. Made it into a quick birthday card by layering the lace layer over a Pistachio Pudding card base!  So quick and easy. Love having the Simply Sent card kits on hand! They come 8 cards to a set which make it so easy to grab and quickly have just what you need to celebrate any occasion!
The envelopes are included- 4 Smokey Slate and 4 Pistachio Pudding! Great color combo... Add some silver ink...#132142 and you have a beautiful card with minimal fuss!

Today I am posting a card I made yesterday as I was spending time with some of the new Stampin'Up products and a few of the old ones too! The idea came from a card posted by Becky Roberts... Love it Becky!
The base of the card is made using the new  Scallop Tag punch #133324!  The sentiment is from the stamp set Perfect Pennants #133230.
Designer paper from Sale-a-bration is trimmed to fit outside and inside! But of course I had to use my favorite little Tea Lace paper doilies #129399!  Also used the Banner framelits dies #132173. This card was one of those cards that make you think ... yes, a different style instead of the same ole, same ole A2 size card! Very fun to make I would say.
The inside sentiment is one from the set Really Good Greetings #130333 from the Regular 2014 catalog...

Have a great big Monster HUGGIE DAY!

These  cute little Monster Hug valentines are  available from Stampin'Up  for a short time
 # 132163 Girls/Crisp Cantaloupe set and#132162 Boys/Blue set! They come insets of 18 for $4.95!

I had my granddaughters here for a couple days during the " TOO cold...no school" long weekend.. so we started on their valentines for friends at school.
It was as simple as opening a package and sticking the googlie eye on! Monster done!
Then instead of just wrapping her or his arms around a treat, I knew I had seen someone make a box for the monster to hug... Yep I had pinned it! Julie Davison was the Stampin'Up demo... so we went to her website and there were the directions... ( here is the link)....
This was such a fun project for the girls to help with! When they are here we always have to get into a craft project of some kind. The back of the little monster has a place for To and From.
They come with little heart stickers also, but the girls want to add those to the valentine when they fill the boxes.  Before  we assembled the little treat box,
we ran the cardstock through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots embossing folder #133520
WHICH IS FREE during Sale-A- Bration
with a $50 purchase!
Please contact me for more info about any of this or check my online store  @ www.gramnancy.stampinup.net

 New little monkey!

Here is a sweet little baby shower invite I created for my niece's first baby shower. She liked the idea of a diaper, so I chose the image from the Silhouette online store and then cut it with my Silhouette...
After I got the wording in line to be able to cut the diaper around it, the outer diaper had to be enlarged, Ok got that  figured that out... Inked the edges, that added a nice touch... after  folding the diaper, it just seemed to need more...so the idea of adding the little monkey was my next thought since she LOVES monkey's!  That image also came from the Silhouette online store... I welded the little guy together so there were less pieces to deal with (we were making 50 of these little guys)...
He was added to a little lime green belly band to hold the diaper closed...... Daddy's motorcycle is lime green... had to make him happy too! After I cut everything out, got together with the gals giving the shower and they assembled it all!

Fall has arrived! Is your door ready?

I have a new love!  As I was pinning away on pinterest I found some very beautiful door decor wreaths made of poly deco mesh! Now, I have had a fascination for this stuff for years already, but the gorgeous things people are doing these days got me intrigued to revisit playing around with it. This is one of those things that once I start I can't stop! The creative genes in me just take over and ... honest if I could put one on every wall and door in my home I would!  Soooo,  that led me to doing a little online sales! I am doing things one step at a time, so as I build my store, I invite you to stop by and take a peek!  In the future I will be adding some of my Stampin'Up creations as well! So if you find you want to sneek a peek...
Thanks for visiting today!

A couple of additions to my wreath gallery...

 Halloween ruffle!

Love this ruffle fluff! makes a very full circle... Will be the best door in the neighborhood!

Fall burlap mesh

This wreath is about 22 inches across and is not as thick as the curly deco mesh wreaths are. There are endless ways to use this stuff. I think I have tried a different technique on every one! I am so happy with the outcome. This is my favorite time of year for floral and home decor. Love the colors of the season. But I have  to get a little better with my photos though! They are a lot prettier than they look here!

and today a fun holiday wreath!

This was so much fun to make! I know, it is so early to think of Christmas but I know from experience, if I don't bite the bullet and buy the supplies now... they won't be there when I get in the mood and want to make holiday decor. I think I am going to head to the basement and sort through my hloiday decor and maybe part with some of it in a garage sale! I have threatened to do thiss for over a year! I see so much new that I want and I can't have any of that unless I am willing to make room for it! Any of you who know me  are aware that I have a holiday decor fettish(sickness)! So let's see how I do, I will report back with what I am willing to let go of !

Fall is in the air!

Oh boy am I having fun! I re-incarnated one of my passions in crafting... Wreath design... I am in love with the look of  deco mesh! It gives a big BANG for your buck! I have created 5 so far! The picture above is one of the fall curly mesh wreaths. these are so big when you finish them... approx 24" across. My guess is they are headed to my etsy store this week! here is a curly Halloween one....So much prettier than my photography skills allow!
and here is a winter one...

If you are interested in having one custom made I can do that too! Just give me an email or phone call!
