Wedding or 25th Anniversary card

I had the best time ever last weekend on a scraping retreat with some friends! Many were scrapbooking and some were card making. This is such a fun concept. If the opportunity comes up for you  to get away, I highly recommend  you try it. 

 I happen to belong to a card exchange  so I worked on several cards. One of the cards coming up was to be a wedding card.... This is what I came up with.

I used whisper white cardstock, the beautiful  Silver Glimmer Paper #124005,

silver embossing powder #109131, pieces of the #126869 5/8" flower trim,  some lg pearl basics, #122987 perfect plum taffeta ribbon,  1/2  Paper doillies #129399, and I also created a stick pin for a little keepsake of Swarovski crystal and matching plum pearls!

Hope you enjoy this, it is actually a very simple card that would be a big hit!

What's new today?

Did a little experimenting yesterday with My Digital Studio ( MDS2).

I played around with trying to produce this phrase in all the various fonts I have on my computer.  None of them were quite what I wanted. First I was planning on just doing a scrapbook page with this, then I got thinking it would be pretty sweet on the wall! I did happen to see this exact phrase somewhere on the internet... can't remember where... But  when I searched through my saved pictures... there it was!

So I picked it,  worked with it in MDS2, saved it , and proceeded to trace it in my software I use for my electronic cutter and WHA- LA..... Success!  It now resides on  the wall by my fireplace!

I am always amazed at what technology  little ol' me can seem to work around!!

 

Swallowtail!

 What a beautiful Stamp!  I am pleased with how easy it is to create a quick card.   I made these for a set of four cards to put together in a card box for a gift. You could use this stamp with absolutely any sentiment.  Here I just added some of the Pretty Petites from  the Sale-a-bration flyer.  For this set  I chose the colors from the 2011- 2013 IN Colors... Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, and Island Indigo.  Along with those ink colors I over- stamped each image with  Versa Mark and used HEAT AND STICK to add DAZZLING DETAILS! I LOVE that technique, it can realy make something very simple  just* BLING*!
