January Classes!

Love is what I can say about the classes I have held in the last 2 weeks!
I have some very fun ladies that join me for card classes on a regular basis each month. This month I tried to feature some of the super cute stamp sets that are available during Stampin'Up Sale-a-bration!
Each time we create at least 4 cards and just really have a great time doing so! This is what I enjoy the most... the fun social time we have as I share one of my favorite things to do!
I have been a demonstrator for going on 9 years this April, and I have just met the nicest people through this hobby!
I am going to share the photos of all the choices of cards we worked with through January.
Most of these I will say are ideas from some very creative demonstrators that share their ideas via blogging, Pinterest, or Facebook! I can come up with ideas myself but there are sooo many wonderful ideas to pull from I actually get overwhelmed and think I have to create them all!
The top picture is a card that is very simple and requires only some of the gold foil paper for the heart and sentiment and the beautiful paper background is one of the new Painted With Love designer series papers in the Occasions 2018 catalog!  (not the best lighting tonight for my photos) so the paper is much  more beautiful than it is showing!
So here are some of the other cards ...

Some of the products and stamp sets used for the cards are noted at the end of the post. Each is a link to my online Store if you care to have a look !
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Cupcakes and Ice Cream!

Today my post is quite lengthy, I will  attempt to do a picture tutorial for you!
I came across these cute cupcake candles at my local Dollar Tree before Christmas. My original thoughts were to make a cute birthday display for my future birthday card classes...
All I needed to do with the candle was to insert a paper straw (cut in half) and for the "flame"
I used  a piece from the leaf punch #144667 and stamped the little flame image from the Picture Perfect Birthday set #145519 and glued it to the straw!
Then I thought about all those really cute 3D projects for mini coffee cups I have been seeing on Pinterest and decided I could make a sweet little box to display the candle and add a greeting!
The dimensions of the candle are a little larger than the mini coffee cups so I needed to adjust some measurements. Here is what I came up with:
Box base cut @6 1/2"x 6 1/2"  score @ 1 3/4" on all sides
    side panels matching paper cut @ 1 3/4" x 2 1/2"
Insert cut @6 1/2" x  2 7/8"   score @ 13/4" and 4 3/4"
     matching paper cut @ 6 1/2" x2 7/8"
card holder base 2 7/8" x 7" score @ 3"
     matching paper cut @ 2 3/4" x 2 1/2"  and one  cut @ 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" for top inside

Here is the shot of how the base will look before you assemble it. Easy stuff!
Now add some tear and tape to the sides...
I use tear and tape since the candle is heavy and needs the added security.

Fold into a box
Here is where you can add those small pieces to the panels on the box.

Now make the insert that will hold the candle secure in the box with the 61/2" x2 7/8" strips
lay these on top of each other on the Big Shot platform to cut a circle...
use the circle from the layering circle framelits #141705 that just fits in the middle section of the strips and roll it through to cut it out!
To make the insert I layered the 2 pieces in opposite directions and added some glue(or tape) in the corners to secure them. Fold them down and tuck it into the box!!
The box is ready for the candle OR maybe even a real cupcake!!!
To finish the gift you could add a Gift Card Holder to tuck behind the candle.
Simply score the 7"x 2 7/8"cardstock @ 3" fold it and add the matching piece of DSP and use a 3/4" punch to make the little notch, then a small piece of coordinating paper to the top inside ...

All that is left to finish the project is to add stamped images or sentiments!

I used the cutest stamps in the set Picture Perfect Birthday #145519
in the 2018 Occasions catalog!!
Add a gift card  for a cupcake shop, coffee shop, ICE CREAM, or even some spending money...
Pop it into a cellophane bag with a bow!
I just think this is a real fun idea for friends, family or co workers!!
Here  are the tools I used to create!
all of this is available at my online shopping page!

Just so pleased with the card I have chosen to make for my card of the month! Today I received one of my Sale-a-bration orders that had my package of Bubble and Fizz #147244  designer series paper! The colors are so fun! I could immediately see a celebration card of some sort jumping out of that stack! Here is what I ended up with first...
These little Pandas are so stinkin' cute I thought one needed to be on the card of course!
I did experiment with a few sentiments, and arrived at these for my choice.
But, with creative thinking they could be substituted with so many other choices! That is why it will be my card for the month... colorful flowers, balloons, animals will make this a
 festive card for any celebration!

Happy Occasions and Sale-a-bration beginnings!!!

Happy January 3, 2018

Today is the first day to order from the 2018 Occasions catalog and earn FREE  products from the Sale-a-bration brochure! If you are ready head to my shopping page and check it out!

Today's simple card is created with a stamp from the Sale-a-bration brochure
It can be a simple as one color ink and one color cardstock or step it up with a slight frame of black and add Versamark ink and clear embossing powder to make it shimmer like I did with this card.

Loved the simplicity of the card and the sentiments that are included in the stamp set  are perfect for doing a whole set of cards for a gift set!
Change up the cardstock and ink choices and it makes a great gift for anyone or to keep in your card stash!

Happy second day of 2018!
I have had some fun the last few COLD days of 2017 creating a few new cards with my newest stamps from the 2018 Stampin' Up  Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalog and brochure.
After all, what else can you do besides put away the holiday fluff, or do the laundry, or watch Hallmark movies,(yes, I have seen them all) or think about all the goodies
you made and are not yet eaten! These days between the holidays are the longest days for me!
But, having already played with these, I think I am in love with all of the FREE items in the Sale-a-bration brochure...so many great choices... it is almost like Christmas all over again!
If you are a stamper and have no idea what Sale-a-bration is...It is just Stampin'Up's ....MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! It is the sad end of some very beautiful choices we had for creating our holiday cards and gifts from the holiday catalog, but the beginning of  our new Occasions catalog that features a breath of fresh air for our cards and gifts! Along with that new catalog and the annual catalog is a brochure which allows you to choose a free item for every $50 you purchase! Examples of those items were used in my card choices! The little panda is one of a set of three cute Party Pandas that can be added to your $50 order for free! The peacock card is one I pinned on pinterest by Mary Ann Rossiter that I fell in love with and totally cased the card! That beautiful peacock with the flourishing tail is also  created with a FREE product offered in the brochure! Celebrate amazing YOU (framelits) are from the Sale-a-bration brochure and FREE with a $100 purchase which is a new twist, but so worth it!
