Boho Chic Quilted Look Card

Today I am sharing a card I made that came from one shared by Mary Fish the other day that really impressed me! I love the simplicity of how to make it...
  1. Cut your card base at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and score at 4 1/4
  2. Cut you Designer series paper at 5/14 x 4
  3. Run the designer series paper you chose through the Big Shot in the Boho Chic Embossing folder.
  4. Add a piece of ribbon to the designer series paper and wrap behind.
  5. Place the mat you just created on the card base.
  6. Stamp the label and greeting of choice from the Rose wonder Stamp set.
  7. Cut the label using the label die from the Rose garden Thinlits.
  8. I pop up the label over the ribbon using dimensionals and added pearls to embellish!
This is one of those cards that will adapt to most occasions and  can be duplicated for card swaps where you need many of them!
Use your creativity and change it up or just make it exactly the way it is! Below are some of the suggested products for creating this card. You can shop with me anytime by clicking a product to go to my on line Stampin' Up store!
Thanks for stamping by!

Sweet... Simple.... Drapery Fold birthday card...

Today I am sharing a simple and elegant card technique with you that I learned from
The instructions for this are so, so, simple and quick that this is one I chose to make duplicates of for my monthly card exchange with some friends! It only requires a 4"x 11 1/2 '" strip of Designer Series paper to create the drapery fold, simple scoring and accordion folding at 3'  4"  6  " 7" 9" and 10".
I added a Birthday sentiment, but really this would be suitable for lots of occasions. ...Heck it is so easy it could be used as a whole set of all occasion cards to give as a gift... HMMM... I have a need for a simple gift coming up... guess I should get busy and make a set!
As always, the products from Stampin' Up that I used for this card are listed below... By clicking on any item will take you to my personal on line store where you can shop with me 24/7!
When you place your order, the product comes directly to your door!
Thanks for visiting today! I welcome your comments and hope you share my ideas with friends!!

Happy Easter!

Enjoy this beautiful day and spend some quality time with the ones you love!

Ready for a party! Froggy is!  Here is the 18" centerpiece I created for my sister. She loves color, and this is definitely colorful! I think he will make her HOPPY! It would be easy enough to just add a jar of candy in the middle or a glass cylinder for a candle. Since the deco mesh is so weather  friendly, he could even spend the spring and summer on the deck.
I love doing table centerpieces, they are always fun and quick!

Celebrate You...Very successful event on Saturday!

Below are pictures of my basic wreath class held during the Celebrate You event. All participants signed up in advance and had the opportunity to create their own  happy spring themed wreath!

I wish I could have gotten a picture of them all completed !
Such a good time and everyone completed their wreath with much success.

Well I have the car all loaded and ready to set up a display of my wreath creations at an event  happening locally tomorrow. I am very excited as this will be my first attempt to teach a basic deco mesh wreath making class to a small group of ladies attending the event. I am also giving a class on glass etching! Wish me luck...   This could be a good thing... Hoping everyone leaves  with a wreath they will be proud to display!

Happy Spring!

Boy what a long winter! and I don't think we have seen the last of it yet... had a little snow yet this morning. Between the weather keeping me in and  bouts with bugs (virus kind lol)  3 times and counting... I have managed to keep the Cricuts and Silhouette motors running.
My latest adventure is with the NEW CRICUT EXPLORE!  Made this CUTE bunny (he opens up like a cookie jar...TOOO CUTE!)
 Want to know how?
If you have the Cricut Explore machine, you already know that you can now import SVG files from outside sources and cut them using the new Cricut Design Space program that is a FREE download.
I found this adorable file at svgcuts.com   The file includes several very cute spring projects... the egg treat box is also part of the file! They are ready to download... not too expensive and you have them forever! I intend to create everyone of them!
Once you have the file downloaded... it is a matter of unzipping the file,  choosing the project, importing into the program... once saved to Cricut Design Space...You bring the file to the mat, EDIT all the pieces to the sizes that SVG Cuts recommends on their printable  pages of instructions.
Then the Cricut does the rest... you just load the paper and press go. If you want to see a video of how to construct the projects  go to svgcuts.com and check it out before you purchase the files, they are Excellent at providing a video of completing the projects they design!
If you have a Silhouette Cameo... not to worry it is possible for you to create this also!

A new little monkey is on his way!

Just meshin' around again! Got that baby shower coming up and a centerpiece was needed!  Here it is... Lime green deco mesh and a couple fun blue patterned ribbons make the wreath/centerpiece. Then I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the same monkey used on the invitation, only a smidge larger. The image for the monkey came from the Silhouette online store, where you can purchase the file and then use it in the cutting program. So much fun...  and after the shower, mommy can hang the wreath in her home... or  even on the hospital door to announce her little monkey's arrival!

Simply Sent!

Love this Simply Sent card kit!
I have been wanting to make this card since the 2014 catalog came out! The stamp set, Million & One #126377 and the card kit, Simply Fabulous, #126925 can be found
in the 2014 catalog on pg.161.
The kit comes with the intricate laser- cut card layer, envelopes and trims. Made it into a quick birthday card by layering the lace layer over a Pistachio Pudding card base!  So quick and easy. Love having the Simply Sent card kits on hand! They come 8 cards to a set which make it so easy to grab and quickly have just what you need to celebrate any occasion!
The envelopes are included- 4 Smokey Slate and 4 Pistachio Pudding! Great color combo... Add some silver ink...#132142 and you have a beautiful card with minimal fuss!

Today I am posting a card I made yesterday as I was spending time with some of the new Stampin'Up products and a few of the old ones too! The idea came from a card posted by Becky Roberts... Love it Becky!
The base of the card is made using the new  Scallop Tag punch #133324!  The sentiment is from the stamp set Perfect Pennants #133230.
Designer paper from Sale-a-bration is trimmed to fit outside and inside! But of course I had to use my favorite little Tea Lace paper doilies #129399!  Also used the Banner framelits dies #132173. This card was one of those cards that make you think ... yes, a different style instead of the same ole, same ole A2 size card! Very fun to make I would say.
The inside sentiment is one from the set Really Good Greetings #130333 from the Regular 2014 catalog...
